There are soooooooo many misconceptions and terms that are misused in the Spiritual industry.

One of the most common ones is Clairvoyance. Many people think that a Clairvoyant person talks with dead people. 

Already there, they hit the nail wrong.

Clairvoyance means Clear VISION – that you SEE the non-physical world.

So a Clairvoyant person might SEE a dead person, but they can’t hear what the ghost is saying unless they are Clairaudient (Clear HEARING)!

People who communicate with the dead are called Mediums. Clairvoyance and Clairaudience are abilities, but Mediumship is the practice.

In this Guide, we will touch base with two terms that get confused all the time.

Psychics and Mediumship!

Very short: Psychics Read Energies – Mediumship is Communicating with Dead People.

Psychics READ Energies.

A Psychic person READ Energies from each and everything around them. 

They read the Energy of other people.

They read the Energy of buildings.

They read the Energy of places.

Have you ever experienced walking in the hallway and already knowing the Energy or the Mood of the Room even before you touched the door handle?

That is what I mean by Reading the Energy.

I’m Psychic, which means I constantly pick up Energies wherever I go. 

I have learned not to tap in on other people unless they have given me permission, but I still have a very clear picture of what’s going on with them. I read people’s Energy, just like I’m noticing what clothes they’re wearing. But only when I tap in do I get a more detailed insight into what’s going on.

Psychics also read Energetic Footprints.

Energetic Footprints are events or something that had happened in the past that left a Footprint right where it happened. Often because the same thing happened over and over again for a long time at the same place, and the people involved had some strong feelings about it.

It’s one of the reasons why I don’t like to visit historical battlefields! I feel like I’m stepping into a time loop and witnessing the whole thing in real time, including gunfire, cannons, and bombs flying over my head.

On the other hand, I love visiting historical places that are more peaceful. Again, it’s like stepping into a time loop and witnessing everything in real time while the present time happens simultaneously. But I can’t communicate, touch or change anything.

The important thing here is that the people in the Energetic Footprints are not ghosts, and they can’t see me. It’s simply just a Footprint and time loop.

Reading Energy means picking up on Energy and automatically interpreting it into words, feelings, thoughts, smells, sounds, tastes, visions, etc.

I often use my Psychic abilities when I cook and bake. I can taste if something goes together, even though it’s not in my mouth. I have food allergies, so I can’t always taste things. So, if I’m cooking for others, I rely on my Psychic abilities.

Mediums TALK With Dead People.

Mediumship is when you’re working with Dead People… or at least communicating with them.

You see Mediumship in shows like Ghost Whisper and Life After Death. 

A Medium’s mission is to help souls who are stuck between the Earth Realm and Soul Realm to cross over.

There can be many reasons why a soul is many; some have unfinished business, some aren’t aware that they actually are dead, some don’t feel they deserve to walk into the Light, some are attached to a certain building or place, and so forth.

Mediums also have an important job in helping grieving people get closure and find peace after losing a loved one. So even though the deceased has crossed over into the Light, Mediums can still communicate with them.

The deceased often drops by to check in on their living relatives and friends. Usually around birthdays and holidays or if a new baby is born. A soul who had crossed over is still able to travel back and forth to visit their living loved ones for a short period.

I used to be a Medium until I was 16. Then I asked the Source (ed. God) to raise my Frequency so I only could communicate with the Angels and the Ascended Master. I have enough on my plate in dealing with Living people. I felt way too overwhelmed dealing with the Dead ones too.

So my Frequency got raised, and today I’m only working with the Angels. I still have Mediumship abilities, so I can always tap into those if I want to. But I prefer not to because it’s too overwhelming and noisy for my mental well-being.

There you go… the difference between being a Psychic and Mediumship.
